I'll bring the excerpt from a dharma talk by Ajahn Amaro, Refuge in the attributes of our own being, again-- it wasn't played last week due to the low turnout.

“A healthy social life is found only, when in the mirror of each soul the whole community finds its reflection, and when in the whole community the virtue of each one is living” — Rudolf Steinererica0019http://www.blogger.com/profile/18287748547618608586noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4670980658891348688.post-15316894255721741672010-06-27T07:41:00.000-07:002010-06-27T07:45:17.718-07:0027 June 2010The last couple weeks discussions have been loosely structured around the theme of the three refuges (Sangha, Dharma, Buddha). We'll continue tonight with an excerpt from a dharma talk by Ajahn Amaro, Refuge in the attributes of our own being.erica0019http://www.blogger.com/profile/18287748547618608586noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4670980658891348688.post-54149386247207848872010-06-16T21:13:00.000-07:002010-06-16T21:20:10.522-07:00Re-cap from last week. Looking ahead...During the previous group we discussed the various aspects of community in response to an essay by Gil Fronsdal that Eileen shared. The essay discussed how communities can be too much in the "light" or in the "shadow".

This weekend (Sunday 20 June) Sharyll will share an 11 minute talk given by Pema Chodron on working with ego, from her CD called "Getting Unstuck".

Personally I'm feeling especially grateful for this group. Thank you everyone for making this happen. There's nothing else like it in LA!erica0019http://www.blogger.com/profile/18287748547618608586noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4670980658891348688.post-77942641569716847612010-06-12T12:28:00.000-07:002010-06-12T12:28:25.697-07:00Sunday SitWe’re having our weekly sit this Sunday (tomrrow) at 7:30pm at 4300 Melrose Ave.
